SIR carries out the supply, installation, calibration and integral maintenance of instrumentation in meteorogical stations:
devices for the measurement of temperature, pressure, radiation,
wind speed and direction, cloud coverage, visibility, etc, as well as
radar based probes for the vertical profiling of temperature, humidity,
wind or ozone concentration.
Meteorological equipment manufactured by SIR can be used in numerous applications:
- Climate studies
- Environmental studies
- Public protection
- Agriculture
- Airports
- Fire alerts
- Traffic and road safety
There are numerous configurations which can be implemented in a
meteorological station, depending amongst other factors, on the number
and kind of sensores required, the available power supply, or the type
of station (fixed, mobile or autonomous).
At SIR we design the optimum configuration of the
meteorological station, including its power supply through solar
panels, data transmission and specific software.
Software
SIR has designed its own software for
data acquisition and interaction with measurement equipment from a
remote Contro Centre, using a variety of communication protocols (GPRS,
GSM, FTP, TCP/IP).
The IT solutions developed by SIR permit:
- The communication with remote stations and retrieval of recorded
data, diagnostic of the analyzers and management of any generated
alerts.
- The management and data mining of all information received,
supporting all the environmental management system on ORACLE databases.
For the equipment and instrumentation from other manufacturers SIR
can create appropriate communication protocols for data acquisition,
adapting our own software to the requirements of the customer.
