SIR
began its work in the field of instrumentation for the study and
protection of aqueous environments with the supply of an automatic,
continuous, measurement system of physical-chemical parameters in
residual waters, in August 1987. Today, numerous organisms and private
companies work with our instrumentation in investigation projects or in
water quality control. SIR carries out a complete setup of
stations (fixed or mobile) and measurement networks, including
data transmission, control centres, maintenance, calibration and data
mining.
Our equipment is currently installed in various
rivers, seas and water bodies of the country, frequently grouped in
networks which are coordinated from a remote control centre to obtain:
-
Disinfection of drinking/residual water.
-
Measurement of water quality via Multiparameter Probes.
-
Measurement of Level, Flow, Current, etc.
-
Measurement of Nitrates, Phosphates, Ammonia,
Residues, Colour/Turbidity, Alpha Chlorophyll, Chlorine, Dissolved
Oxygen, Temperature, pH, Redox, etc.
The range of available automatic instrumentation for the measurement of water quality covers applications such as:
Rivers: Water quality before and/or after extraction for treatment and distribution, industrial/urban impact. Residual Water: Nutrient levels in treatment plants, efficient control of biological reactants, legal discharge levels to effluents, etc. Hydroponics: Maintenance of nutrient levels, alerts triggered by changes, fulfilment of regulations. Ports: Ship unloading bays, estuaries, coastal waters.
Of the available parameteres, both in single and combined form, the following can be selected:
- Nitrate
- Ammonia
- Ammonium
- Total Reactive Phosphorous
- pH
- Conductivity
- Dissolved Oxygen
- Turbidity
- Temperature
- RedOx Potential .....etc
